I am currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020. I was selected as an Emerging Education Policy Scholar in 2021, and previously served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Institute at Duke University.

My research lies at the intersection of economics of education, public finance, and labor economics. I use applied microeconometric and machine learning methods to study K-12 and postsecondary education finance and policy.

My recent work examines the returns to sub-baccalaureate credentials, workforce-aligned financial aid policies, career pathways, and work-based learning. I use administrative data, particularly longitudinal K-20 and unemployment insurance wage records from the Kentucky Longitudinal Data System, to generate policy-relevant evidence on education and labor market outcomes.
